Common questions about the Google Sheets add-on:

My alert fired but I didn't receive a notification.

Check the Log tab in the sidebar — it shows every alert that fired and whether the notification was delivered successfully. If you see a failed entry, the error message will tell you what went wrong (expired webhook URL, typo in email address, etc.).

Alerts stopped firing after I closed the spreadsheet.

Alerts run via an installable trigger that fires whenever any user edits the spreadsheet. Make sure the trigger is installed by opening the add-on and checking that at least one alert is active (green dot).

How do I get my Slack or Discord webhook URL?

Slack: In Slack, go to Apps → Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack → choose a channel → copy the webhook URL.
Discord: In your server, go to channel Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook → copy the URL.

How do I uninstall the add-on?

In Google Sheets, go to Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons → find GriditeAlerts → click the three-dot menu → Remove.

Privacy & data

We do not store your spreadsheet data. Only cell addresses and old/new values at the moment an alert fires are sent to our backend for logging. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
