Terms of Service

1. What these terms cover

These Terms of Service govern your use of all products offered by Gridite, available at gridite.com and through the Google Workspace Marketplace. By accessing or using any Gridite product, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

2. What Gridite products do

Gridite Scraper lets you submit a URL and a description of data you want. It uses AI to fetch that webpage and return the structured data you asked for, ready to export as CSV or JSON.

Gridite Alerts is a Google Sheets add-on that monitors cells and ranges you choose and sends notifications to destinations you configure when a condition is met. It works through an installable background trigger that runs even when your spreadsheet is not open.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use these products. You should only extract data from websites you have permission to access and comply with the terms of any site you point Gridite at. Do not use the service at a volume that would harm another service or violate our rate limits. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Gridite service itself.

For Gridite Alerts, you are responsible for the security of your Google account and for making sure the notification destinations you configure are ones you are authorized to send to.

4. Acceptable use

Use Gridite for lawful purposes only. Do not use it to collect data for illegal activities, harassment, or targeting people without their knowledge. Do not try to overload or attack our infrastructure. Accounts that abuse the service will be suspended without warning.

5. Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. That policy is part of these terms. By using Gridite, you also agree to it.

6. Service availability

We do our best to keep things running. We cannot promise the service will always be available. Maintenance, unexpected outages, or issues with third-party providers can all cause interruptions. We are not responsible for losses that result from the service being unavailable.

7. Accuracy of results

Gridite Scraper uses AI to interpret webpages. AI is not perfect. Results can be incomplete or incorrectly formatted. You should verify anything important before you rely on it. Gridite Alerts notifications depend on third-party platforms like Slack or email servers that are outside our control. We cannot guarantee that every notification reaches you.

8. Limitation of liability

Gridite and its creators are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages that come from using our products. This includes data loss, missed notifications, incorrect extracted data, or decisions you make based on the output of any Gridite product. You use the service at your own risk.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Gridite after we post updated terms means you accept them.
